Scrolling on laptops

After buying a new laptop for my mother she told me that the two finger scrolling really didn’t work as expected. I couldn’t do anything but agree with her, it was really jerky if you weren’t very careful.

So I started looking around for a fix and found a whole community with the same issue.

First, I stumbled upon Two finger scrolling, a small program that improves the smoothness of the scrolling.

Two finger scrolling really smooths out the whole experince, it makes you wonder why Synaptic, the most common touchpad company, hasn’t been able to deliver a similar experience from the start.

And there was also another nice program that helped with program focus, when you want to scroll in another window but you don’t want to click it first. KatMouse is what I’ve tried although lifehacker has written about a new and improved one here
